1. Improve the crack resistance
The addition of TenaBrix® polypropylene fibers can improve the crack resistance of concrete materials, prevent or stop the formation and development of cracks in the curing process, thereby reducing the corrosion of reinforcing materials in concrete and extending the service life of concrete buildings.
Research on the anti-cracking properties found that TenaBrix® polypropylene fiber can significantly improve the anti-cracking properties of concrete, the higher the amount of fiber admixture, the stronger the anti-cracking ability to reduce the amount of cement and increase the aggregate content as much as possible to prevent cement cracks.
2. Improve the frost resistance
Add TenaBrix® polypropylene fiber in concrete, can relieve the role of temperature changes caused by the internal stress of concrete, to prevent the expansion of temperature cracks, according to the concrete frost test method, by repeated freezing and thawing, no delamination and cracking and other phenomena. Practice and research have shown that the addition of TenaBrix® polypropylene microfiber in the concrete, can be used as an effective means of concrete temperature compensation anti-cracking, improving the frost resistance of concrete.
3. Improve the impact resistance
Fibers can improve the impact resistance of concrete, so that TenaBrix® polypropylene fiber on the concrete toughening effect is more significant, and more improve the impact resistance of concrete. In a certain range, the amount of fiber admixture increases, the impact resistance of concrete is also enhanced.

4. Improve the impermeability
Usually in the concrete mixed with TenaBrix® pp fiber, can effectively inhibit the early cracking of concrete and the further expansion of micro-cracking, reduce the shrinkage cracking of concrete, inhibit the generation of through cracking, reduce the void ratio of cement, and improve the compactness.
5. Improve the fatigue resistance
In the concrete mixed with TenaBrix® polypropylene fiber, the static modulus of elasticity is lower than that of ordinary concrete, when the rate of TenaBrix® polypropylene fiber in the range of 0.05% to 0.10%, the change in the amount of fiber on the static modulus of elasticity does not have much effect, but the fatigue deformation modulus increases with the rate of admixture. This indicates that TenaBrix® polypropylene fibers can be more effective for structures under dynamic loading. TenaBrix® polypropylene fibers with low modulus of elasticity and high fatigue strength are more effective in improving the fatigue resistance of concrete.
