What is Tenabrix™ basalt fiber?

Tenabrix™ Basalt fiber is a continuous fiber produced by drawing molten basalt rock at temperatures between 1450°C and 1500°C through a spinning die at high speed. Similar to glass fiber, its properties fall between high-strength S-glass fiber and alkali-free E-glass fiber. Pure natural basalt fiber typically appears brown, with some varieties exhibiting a golden hue.
